My Dad

My Dad is a beautifully illustrated celebration of all the everyday things a child's dad does that are special to them! The illustrations feature a father and son baking cookies, gardening, and playing make-believe, among other simple yet meaningful activities. This book celebrates the important role that fathers play in their children's lives. We particularly like that some of the details of the family have been left off of the pages, leaving room for the reader to fill in the blanks to fit their own personal story. The father and son could be part of a larger unit or it could just be the two of them. They also have a skin tone that can be interpreted differently, depending on the culture and identity of the reader. 

Inspire a child to explore what makes the relationships in their own life special with this touching book. This is a lovely book for children ages two and up, but we also think that a dad would probably also love to receive this as a gift.
